Welcome to the 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. Whether this is your first runDisney race, or you are one of our “Perfect” runners returning once again, we are so excited to host you for what are sure to be solid and fierce events, just like the princesses we are highlighting during this fairy-tale race weekend.
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend celebrates women of all ages and their personal achievements, but to all royal characters who are joining us – welcome! This year, we’re looking forward to calling on a few of the brave, independent princesses you may not see very often to represent our race events – Elena, Mulan, Aurora, Jasmine and Sofia.
As always, the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo kicks off this fairy-tale weekend. This is your one-stop-shop for anything you will need in order to prepare for the race weekend, featuring exclusive runDisney and Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend merchandise, fitness activities and new products, and most importantly, your race bib and event shirt.
On Friday, we start with the Disney Princess 5K, followed by the Disney Princess Enchanted 10K on Saturday. Both with unique race courses throughout Epcot, but both also full of enchanting entertainment, picture perfect photo spots and storybook endings fit for royalty. Also, on Saturday, the runDisney Kids Races presented by GoGo squeeZ® Applesauce give our younger royalty a chance to earn their own finisher medallions.
Finally, the weekend concludes with the Disney Princess Half Marathon, which takes our runners on 13.1 miles of adventure through Epcot and Magic Kingdom Park. Many will take on the inspiring Disney Fairy Tale Challenge, featuring two days and 19.3 magical miles – we’re cheering you all on!
On behalf of the Cast Members, volunteers, our presenting sponsor and celebrated charity, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, thank you for participating in the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend.
May every mile be magical,
ESPN Wide World of Sports, runDisney and Disney Water Parks
